Jeannie & Jerry

Hi, and welcome to our blog!  I’m a So Cal gal married to a Nor Cal guy.  I love learning about and sharing new ideas and things, whether useful or just plain random, and experiencing different cultures through traveling and eating.  I’ve always enjoyed trying out new recipes and restaurants, exploring new places through traveling, hiking, and camping, photography, playing racket sports, reading for fun, watching my favorite TV shows, house decorating and furniture building/restoration, and trying my hand at DIY when I don’t want to buy.  Pinterest is my friend!

As for my better half?

I’ve always had a lifelong interest in learning new things, many of which are utterly useless but still fascinate me.  Interested in how Steinway pianos are made?  Check.  How about the characteristics of Birkin handbags?  Check.  Can I name all the castmates of Jersey Shore?  Unfortunately, yes.  My time is spent watching football (Cal and 49ers), and when it’s not football season you can find me doing some home improvement or wood working, training for triathlons, or finding the best USDA prime beef to cook.

Hi, Jeannie & Jerry, I hope you guys remember me, the one who happened to meet you sitting at the same table in the restaurant in Hanoi. We’re back here in Japan and I read your journey stories with lots of interest and curiosity when I get a chance. I hope you guys continue to make a wonderful trip filled with adventure until it ends!
